Introducing
Chisel 1.0
Agentic 3D design that reasons through the project, works with tools, and returns editable geometry.
From intent to verified geometry.
- 01
Understand the project.
Read the brief, source, references, and constraints already attached to the work.
- 02
Work through tools.
Select the next useful operation and inspect each result before continuing.
- 03
Leave the model editable.
Return CadQuery source, measured geometry, and verified artifacts for the next revision.
Tested on the workflow it was built to do.
Chisel has completed a real Designer tool loop through Alderson's managed model service.
- Read projectPassed
- Edit sourcePassed
- Run CAD verificationPassed
- Return the resultPassed

Hosted and productized by Alderson.
Chisel is Alderson's hosted, evaluated, and productized GPT-OSS 120B model identity. Alderson owns the system policy, routing, evaluations, agent integration, and product experience.
It is not a separately trained Alderson foundation model. Designer remains responsible for tools, project state, sandboxing, source changes, and CAD verification.
Known limits.
- Professional review
- Engineering, manufacturing, and safety-critical work still requires qualified review.
- Iteration
- Complex geometry may need additional instructions and more than one verified pass.
- Tool authority
- Chisel proposes tool calls. Designer validates and executes them locally.
